Xi & Yong · A cultural introduction
Each pillar consists of a Heavenly Stem (天干) and an Earthly Branch (地支). The 10 Heavenly Stems cycle through the Five Elements, while the 12 Earthly Branches correspond to the 12 zodiac animals.
Together, they create 60 unique combinations that repeat in a 60-year cycle. Your specific combination reveals your innate strengths, challenges, and life patterns.
ROYHUG treats BaZi as a traditional interpretive framework rather than a fixed prediction. It is culturally meaningful to many people, but it is not scientifically validated and does not guarantee outcomes.
Generating Cycle (相生): Wood feeds Fire → Fire creates Earth (ash) → Earth bears Metal → Metal collects Water → Water nourishes Wood.
Controlling Cycle (相克): Wood parts Earth → Earth absorbs Water → Water extinguishes Fire → Fire melts Metal → Metal cuts Wood.
Your BaZi chart has a specific distribution of these five elements, but the goal is not an equal 20% of each. Season, Day Master strength, generating and controlling relationships, and the full chart structure matter. A missing element is not automatically a useful one.
● Wood ● Fire ● Earth ● Metal ● Water
Xi Shen (喜神) — The Supporter: A favorable element that supports the selected balancing strategy. It may be visually expressed through the six-strand color composition.
Yong Shen (用神) — The Useful Element: The central element selected to respond to the chart's structure. It leads the natural-crystal cord within a fixed five-crystal composition.
“Missing” does not automatically mean “favorable.” ROYHUG never adds a low-scoring element if the method identifies it as conflicting with the design strategy.
Year Pillar — Ancestry & Early Life: Represents your family background, childhood environment, and inherited traits. The animal sign most people know (Rat, Ox, Tiger...) comes from this pillar's Earthly Branch.
Month Pillar — Career & Social: Your professional path, social standing, and parents' influence. The Heavenly Stem of this pillar is especially important for career guidance.
Day Pillar — Self & Relationships: The most personal pillar. The Heavenly Stem here is your Day Master — your core self. The Earthly Branch reveals your approach to intimate relationships.
Hour Pillar — Creativity & Legacy: Your late-life direction, creative output, and how you express yourself. Also represents how you nurture and guide others.

Not a catalog of colors. Your composition is calculated first, then handcrafted as a personal talisman with a removable intention module.
A six-strand Xi braid and a Yong crystal branch meet at a square mother-of-pearl clasp. Below it, a small crystal tail and short braided tail form one removable intention module. A soft top loop fits over a secure clothing button; the upper crystal branch opens at its side connector to pass around a bag handle.
First release: one $79 main talisman per order. Paired orders are not open yet.
Made for you from your Xi and Yong reading. ROYHUG selects the gemstones, cord colors, arrangement and center clasp color. Materials and appearance are not customer-selectable.

Cord colors, gemstones, arrangement and hardware are selected by ROYHUG. There are no material or appearance options to choose.
Your intention stays specified. Gemstone varieties and arrangement are selected according to the Five Elements. No customer-selected gemstones, layouts or substitutions.

Whenever a new intention feels right. You do not need to wait for a new year. The beginning of spring can be an optional moment to revisit it.
The six-strand Xi braid and main Yong crystal branch remain fixed. The smaller crystal tail and short braided tail detach together as one module.
The spring insert sits fully inside the square box clasp. Only the small attachment eyes remain visible below it.
A contemporary cultural translation of BaZi, craft, and personal symbolism.
" We translate a traditional cultural framework into a personal object for modern life.
ROYHUG began with a simple belief: a traditional cultural framework can be translated into a thoughtful object for contemporary life without turning it into a fixed promise. We make the method understandable, then express its result through color, crystal, and cord.
ROYHUG is one made-to-order Personal Element Talisman, not a collection of ready-made bracelets. Each design is generated through our documented methodology, handcrafted in our studio, personally reviewed by the founder, and completed with a repeatable intention ritual.
